Siamsa Irish Pub Newsletter
As winter sadly packs its bags and we begin the yearly transition from Ski Mountains to Water Parks, Siamsa prepares for an exciting and highly eventful summer. Our entire staff loves the outdoors so between hiking, river trips, waterskiing and golf we will be pretty busy on our days off. We might even get some color on our Irish bartenders (hopefully not red). With tons of bands and events popping up on our calandar, I believe our days ON might be just as busy....
So far the year's been just swell. There is an excellent article about Siamsa in the February/March issue of local flair Magazine written by Mollies own Chelsea Mc Mahon. Its a free (albeit Professional) magazine that can be found at nearly every Cafe, Restaurant or shop on Main Street. Pick one up to read the article or just stop by Siamsa to see for yourself. We held our annual United way fundraiser in January and as usual it was a blast and a great success. Our friend Chris Gavalez made his return to Siamsa to Bartend for the night as did Daren and Dan Sebring and all three along with Terri Klee donated their services and we thank them very much.
As far as music in the new year, when asked if bigger was better, Januarys repose was a loud and clear "YES" as shown by the success of the Dave Matthews tribute band. This was Siamsa's first attempt at such a large event and it was an absolute success. The DMTB will be playing at our Harrisburg location www.ceoltasirishpub.com on Saturday April 10. In other music news we now have the privelege of hosting the Jim Roberti band twice a month. The band will be playing one Friday and one Saturday each month. We also have our weekend favourite DJ Troy every Thursday night and 3 Friday nights each Month. As always we have local favourite Zac Lawless every Sunday Night, the immensely popular monday night pub quiz with Ryan Long and a free Poker Tournament on Tuesday nights. Check out our website or visit the Pub for new events during the Month.
Spring is traditionally marked by love, flowers, birds and assorted other crap but by us at the Pub its St. Patricks day that changes the seasons. Paddys day is the most fun day of the year at Siamsa. Its Corned Beef, Guinness and green beer from open to close. Theres no better place to be Irish than Siamsa on Paddys day. This year we will be entertained by the Blackwater band. They'll return Sunday March 21 at 4pm after the Parade.
This time of the year is full of other celebrations as well. Our second floor is ideal for all sorts of functions. Rehearsal Dinners, Wedding receptions, showers etc. The warm weather means the return of the outdoor seating.
So leave your winter coat at home and get ready for the heat at Siamsa Irish Pub, the area's true authentic Irish Pub.
Until next time, Good Luck!
