Siamsa Irish Pub Monthly Newsletter

Siamsa Irish Pub has decided to introduce a monthly newsletter!  The newsletter will be mailed to those on our mailing list and inform you of what to expect at Siamsa in the coming months. It will include information on upcoming bands, menu changes, specials, giveaways and much more.

To begin the first newsletter, Siamsa would like to extend a very Happy New Year to all of our customers and wish you all the best for 2008. We have made a number of changes to our nightly specials and upcoming events, including some new bands.

WEEKLY FEATURES

On Friday February 1st, we have Adrian Blitzer from Central PA, playing hard rock covers from the 90's to present day. Then, on Friday February 15th, we have a band called Lipstick who have been getting rave reviews wherever they go. We also have Scatterbrain and The Nameless Few, traveling from Philadelphia who have played here in the past and were loved by the audience.

Don’t forget about our local bands!  As always, we have Jim Roberti on Saturday February 2nd, who is a local sensation. The Jim Roberti Band is without a doubt one of the best bands to ever come out of this area and delight crowds every time they play here. The Steve McDaniels Band, again an excellent from the area, is here on Friday February 9th. The Pocono Duo of Kevin and Toby are here on Friday February 22nd, another local treat who have completely revamped their song list to the delight of their listeners.

Every Friday night we will be giving away various prizes including snowboards and ski lift tickets for various sports events and other prizes relating to that time of year. Here’s how it works:  Every drink purchased between 10pm-12am will receive a ticket (yes, every drink!).  The draw will take place at 12:30 am and the winner must be present. On Friday February 8th we will have 99.9 The Hawk broadcasting live from 9pm to 12am. They will be giving away several prizes including a weekend stay at Jack Frost Big Boulder, which includes hotel accommodations and ski lift tickets for 2 nights. Our new specials on Friday evenings are $1.50 for a domestic pint (a FULL PINT) and $3 Jager bombs.

Thursday nights as always, we have DJ Ian Grossman with $2 well drinks, $1 Coors Light pints, $1.50 Miller Lite pints, and $2 SoCo and lime shots. We have introduced a dress code on Thursday nights that will be strictly enforced.

Monday nights are now home to our new trivia night hosted by our bartender, Ryan Long. “The Quiz” began in early January and is quickly building in numbers. You can enter teams of 1 to 6 participants. The winning team will receive a gift certificate to Siamsa for $100! Specials on Monday nights are 30 cent wings, $1 Domestic pints, and $3 Guinness and Harp pints. The Quiz will begin at 9pm and run until 11pm.

Tuesday night we host our poker tournament with a $25 gift certificate prize for the winner. It’s free to play, and each week you can earn points to go to the regionals every 2 ½ months and win a trip to Atlantic City. Drink Specials are $1 Domestic pints.

Wednesday nights, Jimmy Brown provides an acoustic session of covers with some original material. Specials that evening include $2 well drinks, $2 Coors Light bottles, and $1.00 Domestic pints.

Sunday night from 9 to 1am we have the brilliant Zac Lawless playing... well, you ask him and he can play it!

SIAMSA’S KITCHEN

Our Executive Chef will be revamping and updating our menu several times each year.  Our second floor, the non-smoking Dining Room, has proved to be an outstanding success as it's an ideal setting for dining while overlooking Main Street. When it comes to parties, Siamsa is undoubtedly the place to go. We have been getting rave reviews from our customers and critics about our dinner parties. A huge reason for this is the entire staff at Siamsa who have years of experience at organizing parties. We can provide for groups from 20 to 120 people with several different menus to suit every budget. The professional staff at Siamsa is always willing to accommodate your needs as much as is possible. CHARITY EVENTS

Over the past 3 ½ years Siamsa has contributed to numerous charity events to benefit causes in our local community and we fully intend to continue this through 2008. In October of 2007, we held our first annual golf tournament at Shawnee Golf Club. We raised a substantial amount of money for a local girl going through rehab for cancer. All of us here have big plans to do the same in 2008 and the proceeds will be donated to a local charity or person in need.

In November 2007, we held a fundraiser for the local United Way, which again raised substantial funds for this worthy cause. We at Siamsa believe in giving back to the community that made our business such a success.
